Addiction is a crippling, life-long disease that affects millions of Americans every day. The trouble is that many of these people try to quit without success, sometimes several times before they get the kind of help they need to get on the path to sobriety and stay there. While there are many types of treatment available, sometimes it takes more than just meetings and support groups to get sober; it takes a residential inpatient stay at a treatment facility to truly treat the addiction.
Evolve Indy is here for you, providing the treatment options you need to finally get over that addiction and return to a normal life free of drugs and alcohol. Knowing when you need addiction treatment is an essential first step in the process of getting sober, but it can be a struggle to find just the right type of care for your needs without knowing what options are available to you.
Most people have three choices when it comes to the type of care and treatment they receive. Those options are outpatient care, intensive outpatient care, and residential inpatient care. Each type of care is designed for a particular type of individual with a specific set of needs. We are happy to help you find the right inpatient treatment center in Indiana.

What is Inpatient Treatment?
Inpatient treatment is a type of addiction care where the individual resides in a facility for the duration of their treatment. This is usually done when someone has a more severe addiction and requires around-the-clock supervision and care. Residential inpatient facilities offer many different types of programming, including detoxification services, counseling, group therapy, 12-step meetings, and aftercare planning.
An inpatient facility typically offers much more to patients than just counseling; they offer a safe and supportive environment where individuals can focus on their treatment without the distractions or temptations of the outside world. This type of care is often best for those with a long history of addiction, a co-occurring mental health disorder, or those who have recently relapsed.
Besides being a safe environment for those with severe addiction and who struggle with relapse, there is also around-the-clock medical support in case of any emergencies.

The Difference Between Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment
While inpatient treatment is residential, outpatient treatment does not require the individual to live at the facility. Outpatient care is a less intensive form of addiction treatment that usually involves attending counseling or group therapy sessions at a clinic or hospital several times a week. This type of care is best for those with mild to moderate addictions who do not have co-occurring mental health disorders.
Intensive outpatient care is an intermediate step between outpatient and inpatient care. It offers more services than traditional outpatient care but fewer services than inpatient care. This type of program is best for those with moderate addictions who also have a stable living situation and support system.
In many cases, outpatient care may be suggested for those who have a less severe addiction and need to work or care for the family. This treatment gives them the freedom to do those things while still getting the help they need to overcome their addiction.

Who is Inpatient Treatment in Indiana Best For?
Before you decide on residential inpatient treatment, it is important to meet with the staff at the facility or your primary care provider and determine your specific needs.
There are many considerations before deciding on inpatient treatment, such as the severity of your addiction, co-occurring mental health disorders, and if you have a stable living situation.
Inpatient treatment is best for those with:
- A long history of addiction
- Co-occurring mental health disorders
- Severe addictions that require 24-hour care
- Recent relapse(s)
You may also opt for inpatient care if you feel that you need a more personalized treatment plan or have underlying health issues that need to be monitored while going through treatment. Some also prefer the time away from their day-to-day life to focus solely on the root of the addiction.

I don’t even know where to begin. Addiction doesn’t care what family or person it chooses to affect and it’s definitely a long and tough journey not only for the addict but also for the loved ones included. My first call was to Marty and he immediately arranged a force to go and talk to my son. Guided me in the process and made it easy during a rough time in our lives. Tyson took time away to welcome my son to the Evolve house at midnight bc it was the only flight we could get him back due to Covid and he welcomed my son and never once looked upset that it was late and helped him get set up and took time from his personal life to do that for us. Whitney whose an amazing counselor and my son loved her. There are a million things and examples of what each of them did to help take care of my son through the process but when you walk into Evolve you feel calm, like family and mostly loved. When you meet Joe you just immediately feel his genuineness and his heart for everyone. My son loved him and his choice of music 😂 Mike Reynolds who also was amazing to my son and I can’t thank him enough. But mostly my biggest thanks and appreciation goes to Brian Kendrick. For multiple reasons, when my son left Evolve and was in sober living he still took my son under his wing and treated him like his own. When we went through relapse he contacted each of us on the daily. Shawna C.Alumni
The staff at Evolve Indy was great they actually cared and they gave me tools for my recovery and showed me how to utilize them. I’ve been to many recovery programs and this is the only one that has ever helped the staff there go above and beyond there amazing. Christopher D.Alumni

How Do I Know If I Need Inpatient Treatment?
Not everyone needs inpatient treatment to get sober. If you are unsure whether inpatient treatment is the right choice for you, there are several things you can do to help make that decision.
The first step is to meet with an addiction specialist or primary care provider to discuss your options. They will be able to help you assess your needs and make a recommendation based on their professional opinion.
Another way to decide if inpatient treatment is right for you is to consider your living situation. If you do not have a stable home life or support system, inpatient treatment may be the best option. This is because it offers 24-hour care and supervision in a safe environment.
If you are considering inpatient treatment, it is important to look for a facility that offers individualized care. This means that they will create a unique treatment plan based on your specific needs. It is also important to find a facility that has experience treating patients with your type of addiction.

Finding Inpatient Addiction Treatment in Indianapolis
The first step to finding inpatient addiction treatment is admitting you have a problem and that treatment is the answer. From there, Evolve Indy is here for you for all your inpatient rehabilitation needs. We have a facility full of kind and caring staff members, including medically trained personnel ready to handle withdrawal and potential health problems or relapses.
Each client’s journey to sobriety begins with an individualized treatment plan that focuses on their unique addiction and how best to treat it while finding the underlying causes of the addiction.
Treatment typically starts with medically supervised detoxification which removes the drug and all the toxins from the person’s body before moving on to the treatment plan. We monitor the client throughout the duration of the detox so that there is no risk of health complications while they get clean of drugs and alcohol.
Treatment can span a range of options, from individual and group therapy to peer counseling and more. We work with each person to identify the causes of addiction and develop the tools necessary to deal with it once the person returns to their normal life. To help facilitate this, we also offer aftercare support such as Indiana-based outpatient programs, peer groups, and 12-step programs so that care can continue long after the treatment plan ends. For the best addiction treatment in Indiana, Evolve Indy is the best option.
If you or someone you know is suffering from addiction, then now is the time to contact Evolve Indy and we can help refer you to an Indiana inpatient rehab.
